Thanks to everyone who came out to show their interest in Zero Waste!
We learned so much from Laurie Johnson, Executive Director at the Colorado Association for Recycling, Scott Pexton from A-1 Organics, and Randy Moorman from Eco-Cycle about the state of recycling, composting, and waste streams in Colorado. Thank you all for coming!
We also want to thank the Wilmot Elementary School Green Team for their presentation about all they are doing to divert waste.
Lastly, we would like to thank all of the Clear Creek County Commissioners, Jefferson County Commissioners, and House District 25 Representative Lisa Cutter for attending the forum and showing local citizens of their interest in Zero Waste.
Want to do more? Take Eco-Cycle’s “I Choose to Reuse 30-day Challenge” and spread the word among friends and family!
Want to connect with our local representatives again? Representative Lisa Cutter, State Senator Tammy Story, and County Commissioner Lesley Dahlkemper will be hosting a Town Hall at the Buchanan Rec Center in Evergreen on Saturday, February 9th from 10:30am-12:30pm.
